Discovering nature in the Apuan Alps

We are Silvia and Micaela environmental excursion guides; over the years we have transformed our passion for nature and the mountains into our work and we would like to introduce others to this wonderful green planet!

Micaela "The game has always been my passion, so I turned my life into a continuous game! I managed for years several summer camps in Viareggio, where I lived. Then I discovered the Apuan Alps, where I currently live, and here the game it has become much more interesting. The environments, the colors and the smells of nature are a continuous stimulus for creativity and imagination. I always like to learn new things and for this reason I attended the environmental hiker guide course to continue living and work on these mountains with greater professionalism, awareness and be able to continue this beautiful game! "

Silvia "I feel at ease in the woods and I deepened my studies in forestry with a thesis on the chestnut woods of Alta Versilia. Since then I have felt at home among these villages and I have chosen to live there. I have worked for years in a refuge under the Pania della Croce. Following my passion for the bread tree, I lived first in a metato, then in a mill and produced chestnut flour. I love to accompany children and adults in the discovery of these magical environments, sharing their emotions and the curiosity to learn something new!
