The Badia di Camaiore
Immediately outside the center, towards the mountains, stands the Abbey of St. Peter, founded by the Benedictine monks.
With its typical Romanesque architecture with three naves and a bell tower, which is accessed by a beautiful fourteenth-century door that preserves a short section of the walls that bordered the convent.

Gombitelli
Proceeding in the direction of Lucca on the Provincial Road of Freddana just beyond the historic center of Camaiore, the road begins to rise and at each bend there are splendid views of the basin of Camaiore. Reached the pass of Montemagno (m 224) it begins to descend gently in the shadowy Valle Freddana. Beyond La Rena, where the road coming from Massarosa is located, there is the junction for Gombitelli. The road climbs with continuous turns up to the ancient village located on the slope of M. Calvario to 492 m. above sea level.
The village is composed of old houses clinging to the rock, one leaning against the other.

The Parish Church of Camaiore
Proceeding along the provincial road towards Lucca, after about 2 kilometers, you will come to the junction for Pieve, where the Pieve dei SS is located. Giovanni and Stefano. The Romanesque building, built in the twelfth century, has a mullioned bell tower on three floors. The baptismal font that is inside is made from a valuable Roman sarcophagus of the III century AD. .
